Craig Markham - Longevity in a Career

Craig Markham has worked as a Police Constable for over fifteen years and still enjoys his job. He believes that this longevity and endurance come as the result not only of hard work, but also of making the right choice. After high school, he decided to work for a few years before settling on the right career. This gave him a chance to collect his thoughts and focus on something that he wanted to do, rather than being pushed into making a decision.

Waiting for the right career path was a wise choice, and it has paid off in the enjoyment and reward he gets from his job in Law Enforcement. The time spent waiting also gave him the chance to build new experiences working in construction, and these skills gave him the means to pay his way through college. A strong work ethic and sense of dedication may have meant that he was likely to succeed in any career, but by waiting until an idea inspired him, he ensured that he would stick with the same job for many years to come.

Craig Markham did not decide upon a career as soon as he left high school, and the time spent waiting for the right idea paid off. He set achievable goals for himself and followed through to achieve his career goal of becoming a Police Constable after some years of training. With more than a decade of work under his belt, and specialist training in certain areas of investigation, he can now say with confidence that he made the right choice.
